Anjel Maternity

I met Anjel through a model call. I was feeling so defeated on maternity and felt like putting out a model call would help boost my confidence. After not getting much traffic on my posting I felt like I was sure I wasn't as good as I peeped myself up to be. Then I got an email!

Anjel explained she was having baby number two (a boy) & had loved my work I had done on a mutual friend of ours. We talked details and she said she was down for whatever I wanted to try. Which to any artist makes me feel all gooey inside with excitement when a client trusts me fully to take control. We planned a few simple shots out that go with my style, which was also similar to Alex & Anjel's as well.

They arrived at the studio with their two year old lil girl in tow. I was smitten with her adorableness! Ally stole my heart with her adorable lil british accent! She was such a camera ham and like any two year old was FULL of energy! I made sure like always that munchkins feel as included as possible. I know first hand how it is to be having another baby and dealing with the jealousy issues of the first or older child/children. I made sure Ally had fun as well as trying to bond with her so she would ham it up for the camera.

With Anjel I had no idea that she was also suffering with some body love. Like any mom I think we all go through a stage of feeling like a brick house towards the end of pregnancy. But For Anjel, as she later explained, she just plain out felt GROSS! It was hard to tell that during our session because she was just a natural! She was stunning and just had the perfect round lil belly! So much so that I stepped up from just a mini session to loving Alex & Anjel's chemistry that I begged to venture with them outside for some sunset images! So we loaded up and headed to my lil spot not far from my studio and ventured through weed, ticks that seemed to be only attracted to Alex's pants, & even found some huge spiders. EEKKK... yuck!

But I think me being a lil grossed out was well worth it! UGH the sun flares <3 #swoon

I was so incredibly honored to have met these two and have been apart of their maternity stage as well as newborn (yeah I'm like 2 months behind on this blog post but hey, I got busy with babies). Anjel thank you for being such an amazing friend as well. I truly believe God brought us together for her maternity session, because he knew I needed her in my life.
