Adalyn turned 1!

WHen Adalyn came in for her birthday session, she was not a fan of me at all. I give all the credit to her cool daddy who kept her attention for me or she'd get up and be gone. She was having a rough day with teeth coming in so we took what she'd give us which was this cuteness with a mix of diva.

So after lots of tears and cuddles to attempt to get baby settled she was just not having it so we decided to try the cake and see if she would do any better. She actually perked up a bit (but who wouldn't with cake) & we got some pretty stinkin cute shots! She even twerked it in the cake LOL!

But after about 15 minutes she let us know that she was totally done for the day. I am one to not force babies to pose when they just aren't feeling well. No one wants snot nosed, red eyed pictures. So we gave her a break and decided to try some more outside the following weekend. I prayed for sunlight and some nice weather since we hit a week of rain. Thankfully the day came and was just beautiful & Miss Addy was feeling so much better! We got lots of smiles in between keeping her from eating flowers or her big brother playing in the dirt. She had a blast playing in the basket with the wind whipping the balloons all around.

Her brother took us all on a little hike around the park because he was dead set on getting pictures near the lake. He was such a ham as well with his silly stories. We finally made it to a part on the trails where trees blocked our way so we just called it a day and took pictures as we wondered. It ended up being a beautiful setting & I found a new favorite outdoor spot.
